John Nolan
CMHC Counselor-in-Training

Hello! I’m John and this is my Clinical Mental Health Counseling e-Portfolio, a graduate student project created for Grand Canyon University. I am completing my Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and am on track to graduate in August 2025 with over 700 verified internship hours toward my Licensed Professional Counselor credential.

My training at Penndel Mental Health Center has given me valuable experience providing both individual and group therapy to a wide range of client populations. Under the supervision of experienced clinicians, I have developed skills in case conceptualization, treatment planning, and ethical documentation while adhering to HIPAA and Medicaid compliance. These opportunities have deepened my commitment to fostering client growth through empathy, evidence-based practices, and professional integrity.

Looking forward, my professional goal is to build a counseling career that blends compassion with practical strategies, helping individuals overcome barriers and discover healthier, more fulfilling paths in life.
